Short Biography

Ali Osman Kuşakcı received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Vienna University of Technology in 2006. He completed the Industrial Engineering master's program with a specialization in Financial Engineering at the same university. Starting from 2008, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the International University of Sarajevo. He conducted research in the areas of machine learning and nature-inspired algorithms. In 2013, he completed his Ph.D. in the Industrial Engineering department of the same university with his thesis titled "Constrained Optimization with Evolution Strategies: Adaptive Approaches." He served as the director of the university's R&D center and led the "capacity development" projects supported by the Islamic Development Bank. He worked at Istanbul Commerce University in the Industrial Engineering department and conducted research on reverse logistics and sustainability. Subsequently, he joined Ibn Haldun University, where he designed various master's programs in Aviation Management and Business Analytics and provided professional training. He also served as the coordinator for the university's Scientific Research Projects Office for three years. Currently, he is serving as the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at Ibn Haldun University. Ali Osman Kuşakcı has numerous publications in reputable academic journals, focusing on decision making, operations research, business analytics and machine learning, heuristic algorithms, and supply chain network design.
