Dr. Değirmenci received her BA from the Gazi University and her  MS from the Yıldız Technical University. She then did her MBA at Harvard Business School. Afterwards she received her Ph.D. from the Yıldız Technical University. She has worked in the private sector for some time and has been working with the Turkish Airlines. She is fluent in English.
