Management Department Hosted a Colloquium with Miss Amna Abdullah
Amna Abdullah, one of the PhD students of the Department of Management, made a presentation on ‘Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production and Aviation Sector’ at the colloquium on 10 December.

On 10 December 2024, the Department of Management held a colloquium featuring PhD student Miss Amna Abdullah. Her presentation on "Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production and Aviation Sector" highlighted the environmental challenges of aviation and the need for decarbonization. She emphasized the use of a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach to evaluate 11 SAF production pathways across 24 parameters, identifying gasification and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis as the most effective methods. Waste materials were noted as superior feedstocks compared to algae or purpose-grown crops. Policy recommendations included subsidies, tax incentives, and integrating SAF production into national climate strategies, offering actionable insights for stakeholders.
