The Second “Strategies War: Managerial Simulation Showcase” Colloquium Held
School of Business hosted the second “Strategies War: Managerial Simulation Showcase” colloquium.

Our School of Business hosted the second “Strategies War: Managerial Simulation Showcase” colloquium on Monday, May 18, at the Teoman Duralı Conference Hall.

The event marked the final presentation activity of the Strategic Management course taught by the Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Ümit Hacıoğlu, allowing students to demonstrate the practical application of strategic management concepts.

Throughout the course, students developed strategic planning, critical thinking, and decision-making skills through the Capsim GlobalDNA simulation platform. Managing companies producing genetic diagnostic devices, students made decisions across Research & Development (R&D), Marketing, Operations, and Finance while competing in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific markets. In addition to competing against one another, student teams also competed against AI-led firms.

During the colloquium, four human-led teams Andrew, Baldwin, Chester, and Erie presented their strategies, experiences, and lessons learned. Team Erie emerged as the overall winner, outperforming both human-led and AI-led firms in the simulation competition. Team members İnci Develioğlu, Şevval Tanrıverdi, Ali Osman, and Yara Yadak stood out through innovative strategies and strong performance.

Certificates of Achievement were presented to all participating teams by Prof. Ümit Hacıoğlu.

The colloquium provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their strategic management competencies by applying classroom knowledge in a realistic business simulation environment.
