The event titled “Turkey’s Strategic Investment Instrument: The Role and Future Vision of the Sovereign Wealth Fund,” organized by the Department of Management at Ibn Haldun University, was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Teoman Duralı Conference Hall in the Media and Event Center. As the keynote speaker, Mahmut Kayacık, Deputy General Manager of the Turkey Wealth Fund (TWF), shared insights into the Fund’s international position, its strategic investment outlook, and its long-term vision for the future.
Kayacık also addressed the founding purpose and portfolio structure of the Turkey Wealth Fund, noting that the TWF focuses on long-term investments in strategic sectors such as finance, energy, transportation, and technology. He emphasized that the Fund plays a significant role in enhancing the resilience of Turkey’s economy and boosting its competitiveness in the global arena.
In his remarks on the Fund’s strategic goals for the future, Kayacık stated that priority would be given to investments in green transformation and digitalization. He also emphasized that strengthening the Fund through the principles of transparency, accountability, and corporate governance is critical to ensuring its sustainable success.
He concluded his speech by stating, “The Wealth Fund is not merely an economic tool; it is a strategic catalyst that brings Turkey’s long-term development vision to life.”
